I decided to check in on My Ford and saw that as of today they have put in a recall/extended warranty for my vehicle for this part. Apparently pulling the battery for more than 5 minutes can sort of reset it and make it work a bit (according to some sources online.) I was nearly stranded in Houston due to this and spent about 300 bucks fixing things that weren't the problem such as replacing the battery and cleaning the MAF sensor. I own a 2012 Ford Escape that has been losing power when driving and wouldn't go over 20 mph. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up on a problem I'm having that should have been a full recall.
